Social Studies 11: Review Post Instructions:

You are to watch the presentations intently. For EACH presentation you are to find two positives and two negatives. They can be based on content and presentation technique.

For one presentation you are to create a post that responds in ONE of the following ways:

Historical Parallel: Find a historical parallel to the presentation. Something similar in history follows the same pattern or logic of what is presented. Thoroughly explain the connection. Mark Twain a famous 20th Century American writer once said, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” You are to find and describe the rhyme in history.

Significance: Explain why the presentation is important and what value can be taken from it. There is an axiom that reads, “Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.” What problems can be avoided if the lessons of the presentation are heeded.

Present Day Example: Look to find and explain a present day example that connects to the issue being presented. How do you think the two events/issues are connected?
